Paradise Helicopters

Having a track record for quality service has made Paradise Helicopters a shooting star in the world of island tours. Although they are not the biggest company, or the oldest, their efforts to provide quality service has promoted them as one of the better helicopter tours on the market. Despite having a few issues with the the factual accuracy of their claims, they still remain one of the better service providers behind the lauded Makani Kai tour company.

History
Paradise Helicopters was formed in 1997 after the discovery that not many of the local helicopter tour companies offer a personalized service. Since that fateful year, the company has grown to a fleet of two helicopters, with many return customers. Although they are not the largest company in the area, they are one of the more reliable ones. They also offer full flight customization, whether a traveler wants one of their preselected tours or a waterfall luncheon, it can be provided.

Helicopters
As previously mentioned, the company has two helicopters in their fleet. They began with the reliable Hughes 500. While only seating four people, this helicopter does have the distinction of providing every traveler a window seat. It is fuel efficient and manueverable, allowing for a more personalized trip than the latest crafts. Their Bell 407 is their newest, with seating for up to six passengers. Higher fuel capacity means that this copter can fly completely around the Big Island for travelers. The Bell is also stabilized better, allowing for a smooth flight that guests really enjoy.

Factual Accuracy
Throughout the entirity of the Paradise Helicopters website, there are factual inconsistencies that drive this website a little crazy. The most glaring of which is the claim that they are the only helicopter tour to offer headsets with microphones. Any helicopter tour worth a grain of salt will have noise cancellation headphones, because helicopter are not known to be that quiet. Makani Kai even offers the top of the line Aviatian X headset line from Bose, at over $1,000 per headset.
